A curious girl’s wild questions lead to hilarious animal facts on a day out with Grandpa.

Rosie is endlessly curious and full of imagination. During a day at the park with Grandpa, her playful “Have you ever…?” questions spark a series of surprising and hilarious facts about animals and the natural world. From penguins kissing to insect orchestras, Rosie’s quirky observations and Grandpa’s patient answers create a perfect blend of humor, learning, and wonder. A vividly illustrated celebration of curiosity, this story encourages young readers to ask questions, notice the world around them, and laugh along the way.

Annette Cooper holds both an Arts Degree in English and a Science Degree in Zoology and Botany from Melbourne University. These contrasting areas of study have enabled her to approach the world from different perspectives, creating innovative contexts for learning. Her love of the natural world saw her employed as a researcher in both the ABC and BBC’s Natural History Units. Annette enjoys the innocence, escapism, (deceptive) simplicity, and sheer fun of children’s books. She currently lives in Melbourne, Australia.

Maia Batumashvili was born in Tiblisi, Georgia, in 1978. From a young age, Maia has loved to draw and is inspired by the children’s books and cartoons she grew up with. After graduating from two art institutes, Maia worked on an animation project before finally realizing her dream of illustrating children’s books. When Maia is not creating imaginative worlds, she enjoys spending time with her three beautiful children and her dog, Tayo.
