A young boy uses a series of strategies to help create space in his mind for creativity.

Augustus is the youngest in a creative family. He wants to have inventive ideas, too, but he feels that his overthinking mind has no space left. Determined, Augustus constructs a plan to combat his “monkey mind” and imagines a brick wall to deflect useless thoughts. While this helps, some wild thoughts still make it into his free mind space. This makes Augustus even more committed, and he creates other strategies to leave him with a clear mind. Augustus Has a Monkey Mind is a delightfully inventive, visually engaging story about mindfulness, imagination, and finding clarity that all readers will love!

Raised by an adventurous family, Tobias Ryan was inspired to travel and enjoy many different life experiences. A former primary school teacher, Tobias was fascinated by his students’ positive responses to storytelling. Now, Tobias enjoys a peaceful life, residing in a bus in the bush on the east coast of Australia, while working in the renewable energy sector. He continues to listen to other people’s life stories and remains intrigued by the art of storytelling and its connection with learning.

Lali Pantone is an illustrator, painter, designer, technical architect, and dreamer. She was born in the heart of Barcelona, among the papers, parchments, and books of the Sant Antoni Market. From a very young age, she made drawing another extension of her restless being.
