Bud is just a small blossom that no bug wants to dance with. “Bee” patient, Bud—your beau will come.

Bud is just a tiny flower in Grandpa's garden that few people see and no insects want to dance with. That is, until after a downpour, when Bud receives a visit from a bee named Buzz, who has noticed his nectar now he is beginning to bloom.
In this magical tale that makes music out of everyday acts of nature, characters work seamlessly with the serene surroundings to pull readers into the wonder of Buzz and Bud’s garden world.

Penny O'Loughlin lives in Melbourne, Australia, and is the mother of two vibrant and very busy boys. She studied Architecture and Landscape Architecture at Melbourne University and works as a landscape designer. Penny has always had a love of children's books. When younger, Penny would visit the children's book section in bookstores, spending countless hours sitting, reading, and imagining. Penny's desire in her storytelling is to simplify life’s complexities into fable-like tales, to warm hearts and hit chords with both children and adults alike.
